We hold quarterly lectures and field trips for members. Three of the organization's main annual events are the scavenger hunt, forum, and annual dinner. Other events include bus trips, site visits, and more. These activities provide members with an opportunity to stay up to date with what's happening in the water resources field across the state, and to keep in contact with fellow water resource professionals.
WATER QUEST SCAVENGER HUNT
The DEAWRA Water Quest Scavenger Hunt is an event which requires that you to solve a series of clues that lead you to various spots in the state, and photograph a team member and mascot at the location. Complete all the clues and complete the tasks, and you will be eligible to win our cash grand prize, to be given out at the DEAWRA's Annual Dinner!
The DEAWRA hosts an Annual Dinner - typically in January - to bring together membership and to celebrate the Section's achievements throughout the year. Each year, a DEAWRA Special Recognition Award and DEAWRA Achievement Award will be recognized. The guidelines for nominating an individual can be found here.
The DEAWRA hosts an annual symposium for water resource professionals and students across the State of Delaware. The topics of these forums vary, but they always cover relevant and interesting subjects. They also provide an opportunity for individuals from the private, public, nonprofit, and education sectors to come together and share their expertise in the world of water.
