Keynote Speaker : Tim Filasky, PE

Director of Public Works and Water Resources

City of Newark, Delaware

A 2001 graduate of the University of Delaware - College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Tim is a Registered Professional Engineer in Delaware. After 10 years as a project engineer on residential and commercial development with Karins and Associates, he took a position as Field Operations Superintendent with the City of Newark in 2013. In 2014 he was promoted to Deputy Director of Public Works and Water Resources and to Director in April 2019. In this role, he is responsible for overall Department direction, capital project management, and budgeting. He sneaks in some actual engineering when no one is looking. He lives in Newark with his wife and daughter and spends as much time outdoors as possible.
